Learning Module: Inclusive Environments
“Not excluding” is not the same as “including.” This 40-minute learning module looks at easy ways to send a clear message of support to students and families. It discusses inclusive signage and language and their effects, the importance of GSAs in elementary and secondary schools, and the types of goals educators can set for creating a more inclusive school.
SOGI 123 Learning Modules are designed for engaging other educators in a customized or out-of-the-box learning experience. This module includes a video, an editable PowerPoint presentation, and a Facilitator’s Guide—complete with speaker’s notes, discussion questions, activities, and worksheets.
