How is my child’s school integrating SOGI education into the curriculum?

In each province and territory, K-12 curriculum is set by the Department or Ministry of Education. Educators select age-appropriate resources to explore the curricular themes and competencies, including books and lesson plans. If parents have questions about how the curriculum is being delivered in their child’s classroom or the resources being used, we encourage those to be discussed with your child’s school. Talk to your child’s teacher to learn more about what they are teaching in the classroom and how SOGI-inclusive education is being achieved at your child’s school.
